A classic Caesar Salad with homemade croutons and dressing, featuring crisp romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, and a tangy Caesar dressing.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 baguette French baguette
  • 6 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 Tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1.5 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large head romaine lettuce
  • 0.33 cup parmesan cheese

Steps

    Croutons

    • Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise then slice diagonally into 1/4" thick pieces. Place on a baking sheet.
    • Combine 3 Tbsp olive oil with minced garlic. Drizzle over bread, sprinkle with 2 Tbsp parmesan, and toss. Bake until golden (10-12 minutes).

    Caesar Dressing

    • Whisk together garlic, dijon, Worcestershire, lemon juice, and vinegar.
    • Slowly add 1/3 cup olive oil while whisking. Season with salt and pepper.

    Salad Assembly

    • Chop romaine into bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, add lettuce, parmesan, croutons, and dressing. Toss to coat.
