Pasta with Smoked Salmon And Capers

Takes 20 minutes | Serves 4 |

A rich and flavorful pasta dish featuring smoked salmon, capers, and a hint of lemon zest.

Ingredients

  • 275 g smoked salmon
  • 1 unit red onion
  • 3 unit green onions
  • 100 ml dry white wine or apple juice
  • 300 g crème fraîche
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 0.5 unit lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill
  • 400 g spaghetti

Steps

    • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
    • Sauté the red onion and green onions in a little butter over medium heat until the onions are translucent and soft.
    • Add the white wine or apple juice, and let it simmer for a few minutes until the liquid has almost evaporated.
    • Add the crème fraîche and stir well.
    • Add the capers and fresh dill, and season to taste with lemon juice, salt (if necessary), and freshly ground black pepper.
    • Just before serving, add the cooked pasta and sliced salmon to the sauce.
    • Serve immediately with a sprinkle of finely grated lemon zest and fresh dill, and perhaps with some good bread as a side.
