How To Make Granita

Takes 30 minutes | Serves 6 |

A refreshing frozen dessert made from fruit purée.

Ingredients

  • 700 g
  • 60 ml
  • 50 g
  • 0.75 g
  • 1 portion

Steps

    • Blend the fruit, lime juice, sugar, and salt in a blender or food processor until smooth, about 1 minute.
    • Pour the purée into a 9x13-inch metal pan. Freeze for 30 minutes.
    • Scrape the granita with a fork and return to the freezer. Repeat every 30 minutes for 4 hours until completely frozen and flaky.
    • Optional: Stir sugar, lime zest, and pepper flakes together for topping. Set aside.
    • Scoop the granita into bowls alone or with yogurt. Top with sugared lime zest mixture if using.
