How To Make Granita

A refreshing frozen dessert made from fruit purée.
Ingredients
- 700 g
- 60 ml
- 50 g
- 0.75 g
- 1 portion
Steps
- Blend the fruit, lime juice, sugar, and salt in a blender or food processor until smooth, about 1 minute.
- Pour the purée into a 9x13-inch metal pan. Freeze for 30 minutes.
- Scrape the granita with a fork and return to the freezer. Repeat every 30 minutes for 4 hours until completely frozen and flaky.
- Optional: Stir sugar, lime zest, and pepper flakes together for topping. Set aside.
- Scoop the granita into bowls alone or with yogurt. Top with sugared lime zest mixture if using.
