A creamy and flavorful hummus recipe, perfect for dipping or as a spread.

  • 1 clove

  • 120 ml
  • 2 tbsp
  • 0.5 tsp
  • 15 ml

Steps

    Preparing Chickpeas

    • Boil canned chickpeas with baking soda for 20 minutes until soft. Drain and cool.

    Creating Hummus Base

    • Process lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Let rest for 10 minutes.
    • Blend tahini into garlic-lemon mixture until creamy.
    • Add ice water while blending to achieve a smooth texture.

    Finalizing Hummus

    • Add cumin and chickpeas, blend with olive oil until smooth. Adjust seasoning.
    • Transfer to serving bowl, garnish as desired.
