Oysters with spicy Ponzu

Fresh oysters topped with a spicy ponzu dressing, mango, and fresh cilantro, perfect as an appetizer or delicacy.

Ingredients

  • 1 ts red chili, finely chopped
  • 1 ts ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 ss soy sauce
  • 1 ss rice vinegar
  • 1 ss peanut oil or sesame oil
  • 1 stk lime
  • 1 ss shallot, finely chopped
  • some mango
  • some coriander

Steps

    Preparation of oysters

    • Open the oysters carefully and remove any loose shell fragments. Check that the oysters smell like fresh sea to confirm their freshness.

    Dressing

    • Whisk together finely chopped red chili, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chosen oil (peanut oil or sesame oil), lime juice, and finely chopped shallots for the dressing.

    Garnish and serving

    • Pour the dressing over the opened oysters and top with finely chopped mango and fresh cilantro as garnish.
