Panna Cotta

A traditional Italian dessert from Tuscany, known for its creamy texture and versatility with different toppings.

  • 1000 ml
  • 200 ml
  • 1 pod
  • 3 tablespoons
  • 5 sheets gelatin sheets

Steps

    Preparation

    • Soften the gelatin sheets in cold water.
    • In a saucepan, bring the cream to a boil.
    • Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the pod and seeds to the cream.
    • Once the cream is boiled, remove from heat, stir in the sugar until dissolved.
    • Squeeze excess water from the gelatin sheets and add to the hot cream. Stir well until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
    • Add the milk and let the mixture sit in the pan to infuse the vanilla flavor.
    • When cooled to room temperature, pour into molds or glasses.
    • Refrigerate until set, preferably overnight.
