A classic Thai Beef Salad with a perfectly balanced dressing and a mix of fresh herbs, delivering a burst of flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp
  • 3 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp grapeseed oil
  • 1 pinch cooking / kosher salt
  • 225 g beef steak (sirloin)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mixed lettuce leaves
  • 10 unit
  • 0.5 unit
  • 0.5 unit
  • 0.25 cup cilantro/coriander leaves
  • 0.5 dl
  • 1 dl

Steps

    Dressing Preparation

    • Grind chili, garlic, cilantro stems, and salt into a paste.
    • Mix in sugar, lime juice, fish sauce, and oil. Adjust to taste.

    Beef Preparation

    • Preheat skillet, season beef with oil, salt, and pepper, then cook to desired doneness.
    • Let beef rest after cooking.

    Salad Assembly

    • Toss lettuce with dressing.
    • Slice beef, mix with salad ingredients and most of the dressing, then assemble on plates.
    • Garnish with peanuts, extra herbs, and remaining dressing.
